Two perspectives. Deep domain expertise.
Our partnership brings extensive criminal justice research, project experience, and academic leadership together with production AI/ML engineering. Both founders share a research foundation that connects technical understanding with the people, institutions, and decisions technology affects.
Ahmet brings an extensive, widely cited body of research on policing, criminal justice policy, terrorism, and public-sector technology. At Penn State, he serves as Associate Teaching Professor of Criminology and Director of Graduate Studies in Criminal Justice Policy and Administration. His work includes a university-funded project on public perceptions of AI in policing, studies of body-camera evidence in police misconduct investigations, and research on information sharing across government organizations. He combines this research and project experience with academic leadership, active teaching, and prior police leadership roles.
Kaan brings extensive hands-on experience in production AI and machine learning engineering, spanning language models, computer vision, data science, and data engineering. He contributes a practical understanding of AI systems, their data requirements, and the engineering tradeoffs that shape performance and reliability. His doctoral expertise in criminal justice adds a domain perspective to this technical foundation, connecting applied AI/ML with research on policing and technology evaluation.
